I was trying to find this on the web so I wouldn't have to type it. So since I could not find it, here it is lol

The Power of Evil
by St Andrew of Crete (660-732)

Christian, dost thou see them
On the holy ground,
How the powers of darkness
Rage thy steps around?
Christian, up and smite them,
Counting gain but loss;
In the strength that cometh
By the holy cross.

Christian, dost thou feel them,
How they work within,
Striving, tempting, luring,
Gooding into sin?
Christian, never tremble;
Never be downcast;
Gird thee for the battle,
Thou shalt win at last!

Christian, dost thou hear them,
How they speak thee fair?
"Always fast and vigil,
Always watch and prayer?"
Christian, answer boldly;
"While I breathe, I pray!"
Peace shall follow battle.
Right shall end in day.

Well I know thy trouble,
O my servant true;
Thou art very weary,
I was weary, too;
But that toil shall make thee
Some day all Mine own.
And the end of sorrow
Shall be near My throne.

I love this poem. We are starting a Prayer Warriors group at church. So my mom got me the book The Authority of the Believer and this poem was in the back. How true it is that we are only defeated when we forget, even for just a moment, that the victory is already won. This has been an interesting process from the very beginning. I can feel the opposition, which just reaffirms in my soul the need for this group. Anyway, I wanted this someplace handy :)
